Mello's jaw dropped.  "Mother of God!  How old is this tape?  Who... how..."

Matt reached out and hit the PAUSE button, then lit a cigarette with his free hand, which was visibly shaking.  "How did he know where to send it?  How did he know we'd be together?"  His eyes clouded with a flicker of sadness as he added: "And why are we only getting it now?"

Mello's hand rested gently atop Matt's on the cassette player. "If we play it all the way through, we'll probably find out.  Let go, Matt." The tone was succinct but not unkind. "Let go."

Reluctantly, Matt took his hand away from the button; he dropped his hands in his lap to hide their shaking and grumbled around the cigarette hanging from his lip, "Also, who the hell let L watch Saw?"
